After five incredible years of service, the Monty’s Leap restaurant has officially closed its doors. This decision wasn’t made lightly, but as with every season in the vineyard, there comes a time for change, reflection, and new growth.
We’re writing this update with deep gratitude for the community that has supported us through it all, patrons, staff, producers, and wine lovers alike.
Why We Closed the Restaurant
The closure came from a mix of heartfelt and practical reasons:
Family commitments, personal health, recent staff changes, and a sense of accomplishment for what we set out to achieve.
We’re proud of what we’ve created here and thankful for the many kind words we’ve received since the announcement.
Every visit, every shared meal, and every celebration added to the spirit of Monty’s Leap, and for that, we say thank you.

One of the greatest joys of running our restaurant was showcasing the world-class produce of Western Australia’s South Coast.
This region is brimming with passionate growers, sustainable practices, and pristine natural conditions.
We continue to encourage everyone to buy local where you can, because we know firsthand how much love and care goes into every harvest.
Wholesale and Vineyard Operations Continue
Behind the scenes, it’s business as usual in the vines and barrels.
We are still producing and distributing wine to liquor stores, restaurants, bars, and accommodations across WA and beyond.

The Cellar Door Remains Open
Although the restaurant has closed, our cellar door is still very much open for tastings and take-home purchases.
Open Wednesday to Sunday | 10am – 3pm
Come and enjoy the views, sample our wines, and take a piece of Monty’s Leap Wines home with you.
We’ll also continue to share behind-the-scenes vineyard updates and winemaking insights via our Instagram and Facebook pages.

Gift Vouchers Still Honoured
If you have an unredeemed Monty’s Leap gift voucher, don’t worry, we’re honouring all outstanding vouchers.
You have two options:
- Redeem for wine at the cellar door, or
